Made in collaboration with Håkon Skorge for Nordic Ocean Watch.

Løa is a floating outreach center dedicated to preventing marine pollution. During the summer of 2023, I worked as an educator for school groups, newly arrived refugees, municipalities, and businesses.
A key component of Løa is the «sorting machines» which I had the opportunity to build alongside Håkon Skorge. These machines enable the quick sorting and cataloging of collected waste. The nets are mounted in a detachable frame, allowing for the progressive filtering of smaller and smaller items. The sorting machines were constructed from surplus materials from the outdoor furniture industry and a handball net that washed ashore on the western coast of Norway.
