Hey! My name is Frida. Here are some things I’ve made.

I’ve made a spacesuit
Life’s too short not to make a spacesuit. That’s why I made my own, modeled after the one worn by Buzz Aldrin during the first Moon landing.
I’ve made flotation trousers
In collaboration with Aalesund Protective Wear, I designed the world’s first flotation trousers for female fishers as part of my master’s thesis.
What are flotation trousers, you ask? Read on to find out!

I’ve made a sorting machine
Oslo Løa is a temporary floating pavilion educating the public about marine pollution. As a part of the Nordic Ocean Watch team, I got to design and build the «sorting machines» used for processing collected waste.
I’ve made a recycled trophy
«Gullklypa» is awared yearly by a Norwegian NGO to a person who has shown an extraordinary commitment to keeping their surroundings clean from trash.
The trophy is made from recycled plastic and brass and is reyclable.

I’ve made another spacesuit
Life’s too short not to make another spacesuit.
This suit is a replica of the Orion Crew Survival Suit (OCSS) which will be used during the Artemis missions in 2024 og 2025.
I’ve made a model kit
The Oseberg wagon is one of the most famous artefacts from the Viking age. What happens when the wagon meets a sheet of plywood?

I might have made Norway’s most boring math workbooks
The math textbooks used in schools today tend to be colorful and filled with illustrations and characters. That sounds great — but research shows that all of this overloads children’s working memory and makes learning harder. Scientist Factory’s math workbooks turn this on its head, and the results speak for themselves.
The workbooks are authored by Hanne S. Finstad and designed by me. What started as a few workbooks for practicing multiplication tables has grown into a series of 20, translated into English and Swedish.
I’ve made tool tethering
Tool tethering helps prevent accidents while working at heights, so why is it not used more often? In the spring of 2023 I decided to find out why, and designed a new one-handed tool tethering system.

I’ve made engaging experiences
From 2010 to 2018, I was part of Forward Motion, which organized the cultural festival Desucon. We gathered thousands of children, youth, and adults with interests ranging from Japanese popular culture to science fiction and video games.
I’ve made a lot of T-shirts
In 2015, I founded Fanwear, a company that sells merchandise for artists, YouTubers, and other personalities. After generating sales of over one million Norwegian kroner in its first operational year, I sold Fanwear to the management company Compro in 2016.

I’ve made more things,
but not everything fit on the front page. Here are some more things I’ve made.
Should we make something together?
I’d love to hear from you if you want to make something with me.
