Life’s too short not to make another spacesuit
The Orion Crew Survival Suit (OCSS) is a suit designed to be worn by astronauts during the launch of the Artemis missions in 2024 and 2025. The suit is still in development, so my replica is based on how the suit was presented to the press in October 2019.
In contrast to the Apollo suit project, which had an abundance of archival images for reference, there are very few pictures of the OCSS apart from the occasional public displays. For this project, I’ve relied on commercially produced 3D models and images of related pressure suits like the Boeing Blue and CHAPS for guidance.
