Grepp Tool Tethering

Student assignment at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design for AAK Safety, 2023.

Tool tethering is essential for preventing accidents when working at heights, but it’s often neglected due to its impracticality. Through interviews and observations, I developed a system for securing power tools during elevated work. Unlike previous solutions, GREPP can be operated with one hand, complies with the Norwegian NS 9611 standard, and provides tactile and audible feedback confirming the tool is secured. As part of the project, I also designed a new storage pouch for fasteners.

This project was nominated for AHO WORKS Awards in the category of industrial design.
