FRIDA TØRRING (B. 1994)
Life’s too short not to make a spacesuit
I’m originally a marketer by trade with several years of experience from ecommerce. I’ve always had some creative projects on the side, and in 2020 I began my design degree at The Oslo School of Architecture and Design with the goal of making this my full-time job. I’m currently working as a junior designer at K8 Industridesign, where I design insect traps, networking equipment and everything inbetween!

It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with Frida. She delivered a mock-up prototype that we needed in a project we had at SINTEF. She made a solid plan, which she followed well, and she kept us updated throughout the design process. She was very good at understanding and using our input. She came with good suggestions and was flexible when it came to iterative changes. In the end, the prototype was delivered as promised and was very well made. She’s also fun and energetic, so we always looked forward to our meetings and discussions with her!

We have had the singular pleasure of hosting a lecture by Frida Decap Tørring in our course Communication & Action. Frida arrives thoroughly prepared and delivers sharp academic insights alongside relevant and vivid anecdotes, always with a twinkle in her eye. Before, during, and after the lecture, she gives of herself in an exemplary manner and engages in meaningful dialogue with her audience.
She has a keen ability to read others’ projects and is able to offer relevant and constructive feedback on work at varying stages of completion. A true gift to the students and to us as course coordinators!
